While the bar may appear inviting from the outside , what I discovered behind its doors was appalling and beyond comprehension .

The floorboards were filthy, and a foul smell of decaying beverages and neglected washrooms permeated the entire bar . Smelling a mixture of excrement , old age and sour vomit . The bar area , which should be the centerpiece of any pub, was littered with unwashed glassware and litter that looked like it had accumulated over weeks. The restroom was in even more deplorable shape — backed up, with a snapped lever and walls stained in what I can only assume was fecal matter .
It wasn’t just a one-off bad night either. Going through other patrons’ reviews and chatting with the community, it seems that the quality of upkeep (or lack thereof) at Masterson’s is a well-known flaw .
